SHDEPHA+ Mpanda is a branch of SHDEPHA+ National Network established in 2002 with registration number SO.NO.8216 and certificate of compliance No.0738 under the Non Governmental Organizations Act, NO. 24/2002. The organization has been working in partnership with HJFMRI/Walter Reed Program and Ministry of health community development, gender, elderly and children since 2008 in comprehensive HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support program.
This organization is located in Katavi region at Mpanda Municipal, whereby currently it is implementing its activities in four district council: Mpanda Municipal Council, Nsimbo DC, Mpanda DC and Mlele DC.
The organization wishes to recruit Competent and Qualified candidates in the following position; HIV Testing and Counseling (HTC) focal person.
Job title: HTC FOCAL PERSON
Job responsibilities
• Should perform HIV Testing and Counseling activities according to prescriptions and conditions set by the Ministry of Health, community development, gender, elderly and children (MoHCDGEC)
• Should plan, organize, direct, supervise, and monitor implementation of all activities relating to HIV testing and counseling.
• Should collect, analyze and compile HTC data and prepare monthly and quarterly HTC report.
• Develop new project ideas for improvement of HTC Program.
• Ensure the Provision of quality HTC service to the community
• Ensure all people tested positive are linked on treatment and care.
• Develop strategies for strengthening referrals and linkages to healthcare facilities in target states to ensure the continuum of care for project beneficiaries.
• Perform other activities assigned by supervisor.
Requirements/Qualification.
• Should be holder of Diploma or degree in nursing or any other equivalent recognized by Ministry of health community development, gender, elderly and children.
• Should have at least 2 years of experience in HIV Testing and counseling
• All qualified candidate is highly encouraged to apply, also retired officer but not tired with medical background is encouraged to apply.
• Computer literacy in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required
• Excellent oral communication and writing skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a team setting.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient’s information
• Able to conduct community based HIV testing and counseling
• Able to drive motor cycle (Driving license)
